MyGeekShow:
The Show's History
MyGeekShow began in
2011 with the intention of creating a type of
"Myth Busters" for the RC Airplane hobby. After a few months of messing
around (and lots of crashes), Trent decided that creating a more
definite long-term goal would be needed to give the show a
clear
objective to work towards.
Late in 2011, Trent
announced that he would make it his goal to build
and fly an RC airplane across the US, taking the next few years to
build up the required skills and resources. The following months showed
great progress as the design, construction, and flights of the GeekStar
and Nova demonstrated the viability of a completely scratchbuilt
platform, which would be necessary if the USA trip were to succeed.
Not only did 2012
bring new challenges with First Person View (FPV) and
other technologies, but Nick also joined the show to bring another
perspective and a stronger technical background that would allow the
duo to progress quickly through the demanding list that 2012 would
bring. MyGeekShow also began the "Beginner to Expert" video series that
would help those interested in the hobby to learn the basics and would
also assist
those who were ready for the next challenge.
The next few months
and years will show even greater quality and
progress. We're glad you visited our show!
